Guests can take a short stroll through broad leaved woods to the shores of Crummock Water, or wander around Loweswater Lake, which lies just beyond the valley church; whilst for the more adventurous there are a number of local Wainwrights to conquer.
A Victorian tea may be enjoyed in a unique tea room just down the road, and good food and real ale are served in any of the four country inns within three miles.
This area of the Lakes has created a wealth of history and literature, provides places of interest for rainy days and not only offers peace and beauty in a changing landscape but also the time to dream.
