Christ Church, South Street Cockermouth, 1865 by Bruce of Whitehaven. A reactionary design with the features of the early 19th Century - plain tower with large pinnacles, long nave windows, and three galleries on iron columns inside.
There are several stained glass windows, by Heaton Butler and Bayne, and Clayton and Bell. The East window shows Jesus with the old and the sick.
It has an adjoining school of 1884.

- Each Sunday – 8am Holy Communion BCP
- 1st and 3rd Sundays 9.45am - Holy Communion with Creche and Sunday School
- 6.00pm Evening Praise – Open to God
- 2nd Sunday 9.45am – 2nd Sunday Service – Informal Morning Service with Creche and Sunday School
- 4th Sunday – 9.45am - 4th Sunday Service – an informal service for all ages.
Refreshments are served after each of the 9.45am & 6pm Services.
