In 1946 the Stamper family purchased Wellington Farm and since then there have been many changes, who would have thought that there would be premises here to supply our own dairy ice cream. Faced with drastic economical changes in farming we decided to diversify and so our project to open Wellington Jerseys started in April 2004 and opened in March 2005.The cafe combines the Old Stackyard Tearooms with our ice cream parlour.
Our ice cream is made on the farm from fresh milk from our pedigree Jersey herd.
We offer 16 Flavours of ice cream at all times including a selection of seasonal flavours .
In our Old Stackyard Tea Rooms we offer drinks from our off licence, freshly ground coffee, speciality teas, and mouth watering food from our menu, such as home made cakes and tray bakes, which can be eaten in our indoor cafe or outside on our terrace.
Visit our farm shop where there is a selection of local crafts, preserves, dairy products, and home made Jersey ice cream.
We believe that we have the best panoramic views of the Western Fells, and these can be viewed from our terrace.
Small animal enclosure We now also have a small animal enclosure with free entry which is perfect for a family day out! Why not call in to meet Dotty, Rod, the LLamas theyd love to meet you!
